Last updated: 5 September 2026 — effective from this date
You may at any time request deletion of your personal data from U T S FOR TRADING AND SERVICES (UTS). This is a right guaranteed to you by Qatar Law No. 13 of 2016 on Personal Data Privacy Protection. This page is the official route for exercising it; no subscription and no fee are required.
These instructions cover every channel through which you have contacted us: the contact form on www.uts.qa, the official WhatsApp channels we operate on Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform, and your accounts in our software products (Jadwal, Tadween, Rafea and those that follow).
1How to request deletion — two steps
Choose either route, and send your request from the same email address or phone number you used with us so that we can verify you:
- By email: send a message to info@uts.qa with the subject line “Data deletion request”.
- By WhatsApp: message +974 5050 4037 and begin your message with “Data deletion request”.
- State in your request: the email address or phone number you dealt with us on, the product or service name if any, and whether you want everything we hold deleted or only a specific conversation or document.
2Verifying your identity
Before acting we verify that you are in fact the data subject — protecting you from someone else deleting your data. We do this with a confirmation message to the email address or WhatsApp number the request came from, and we may ask for one detail confirming your link to the account. We never ask for your password or a copy of your ID card.
3What gets deleted
When the request is carried out we delete from our systems:
- Your WhatsApp conversations in full and their attachments — the text, images, documents, files and voice notes you sent to us or to our products.
- The contact-form message you sent from the website and the correspondence arising from it.
- Your account in our products and its content: your personal data, the files you uploaded, and the derived copies of them in our processing systems.
- Your details in our contact and follow-up lists, so that no further message reaches you from us.
- We also instruct the processors who received a copy of your data to perform the service to delete what they hold, under our contracts with them.
4What we retain, and why
We cannot always delete everything, and we tell you plainly what remains and why — none of it is used to contact you or to market to you:
- Invoices, accounting entries and contracts relating to transactions between us: kept for ten years in compliance with the commercial and tax laws in force in the State of Qatar.
- Whatever is needed to defend a right or answer a live claim or dispute, and only for as long as that requires.
- Security and access logs for the period stated in the Privacy Policy (12 months).
- Statistically anonymised data from which you cannot be identified.
5Timeline and confirmation of deletion
We begin processing your request within three business days of receiving it, and complete the deletion within thirty (30) days at most from the date your identity is verified.
On completion we send you written confirmation stating what was deleted, what remains if anything, the reason it remains, and the date it is expected to be deleted.
If a technical or legal reason requires longer, we notify you before the thirty days elapse with the reason and the new timeline.
6Important note about WhatsApp and Meta
Deleting the conversation from your own device does not delete the copy we hold; they are two independent copies. Likewise, deleting your WhatsApp account or your account on Meta's platforms does not reach us automatically and does not create a deletion request with us.
The only route to deleting what we hold is to send the request by one of the two means above. Deleting your data from Meta's own systems is requested from Meta directly through your account settings with them.
7Lighter alternatives to full deletion
If what you want is to stop being contacted rather than to erase everything, you may instead ask us to: stop marketing messages, restrict processing, or correct your data rather than erase it. Say so in your message and we will act on it.
If you subscribe to one of our products, export your data before deletion — erasure is final and cannot be undone.
8If you receive no response
If the timeline passes with no reply, or our reply does not satisfy you, you may complain to the competent authority for personal data privacy protection at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, State of Qatar. Before doing so, please write to us again at info@uts.qa — the request may simply not have arrived.
